Looks like this year’s Singles Day in China is going to be awesome with Xiaomi. Just yesterday we reported that Xiaomi has reduced Redmi 2A’s price to just 499 Yuan ($78) and today there’s is even more! Now the powerful Helio x10 powered Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 costs only $110 (699 Yuan). This a direct $15 (100 Yuan) drop from the previous Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 pricing.
So now, with a $110 pricing what do you get in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2? Well, the specs of the smartphone is nothing less than amazing at this price tag. Redmi Note 2 is a 5.5 inch smartphone with a 1920 x 1080 Full HD display. Under the hood, the smartphone comes with 2.0 GHz Helio x10 processor (Redmi Note 2 Prime has a 2.2 GHz processor), 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM (Redmi Note 2 Prime has 32GB internal Memory), dual SIM and there’s even a slot for memory card! The rear camera of Redmi Note 2 is a 13MP shooter with PDAF support and there’s a 5MP front camera. The mid-range smartphone includes an infrared sensor, 4G LTE connectivity and a 3060mAh removable battery.
Budget sensitive low and mid-range smartphone market has been the niche for Xiaomi for quite a long time. Though the Chinese tech giant has more pricy products now (like the Xiaomi mi note pro), it’s focus hasn’t shifted from these markets yet. And this type of aggressive cut down to the price of its popular devices like the Redmi note 2 for special occasions has helped the company to become one of the most powerful tech startups of the world.
